If shoelaces are to be an abstract idea, then MACHIEN would definitely see it as the connected relationships between humans, the mortal and the immortal, and the living beings versus the living things. It is a tie that binds together the affection, confusion, disruption, protection, and separation among each relationship.

 

The founders of MACHIEN, Jacky & Chien, grew up in an environment with family members and friends torn apart by strife, where they both wondered and suffered the times when individuals once in love were to become villains and strangers. The moment of truth eventually came when Jacky & Chien accepted their faith in Christ several years after. God provided them the path to reconcile with their pasts, and that was when they learned that the troubles in life can all find their cures in intimate ties.

 

Seeing that individuals today are becoming increasingly alienated from one another, Chien decided to put down his passion for the work in psychology and educational research, and join Jacky in building a designer brand that brings individuals closer together using their personal expertise. They are to show the world how shoelaces from Taiwan become the link to stronger ties, and to share with others their love received from God.
